How did the idea of the Corrency transaction system come about and where is it going?
Read the words of founder Pepe Rafaj →CEO of Corrency. Author of the first Czech books on internet advertising (Grada 1998-2001), built the idnes.cz portal business for the German media house RBVG (2001-2006). Co-founder and CEO of Fincentrum (2000), which he sold as a major Czech-Slovak financial, mortgage and brokerage company to Swiss Life Group in 2018. In 2018, he ran unsuccessfully as a nominee of the Czech Prime Minister for Mayor of Prague and briefly served as a representative of the capital city of Prague. He was also a town hall representative of Prague for a short period of time. A graduate of the University of Economics in Prague and the OPM program at Harvard Business School, Petr has global project management experience in finance. He has been a MasterCard Bank of the Year since 2002. He is a lifelong supporter of classical music, from 2014-2019 he ran Classic Prague and Expres FM (now part of the Seznam group).
Business Development at Corrency. Adriana studied history and language at Comenius University in Bratislava and completed her business education at DePaul University in Chicago. Between 1991 and 1995, she founded and managed the Soros Center for Contemporary Art in Bratislava. Adriana was Director of Communications at Johnson&Johnson and for six years ran Transparency International. She was Deputy Minister of the Interior and subsequently the Mayor of Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, from 2014-2018.
COO & CFO at Corrency, specializing in process management. After graduating with a degree in Economic Policy and Administration from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and the Accounting and Business School in Portugal, he obtained an MBA in Executive Management. He gained his first work experience in the finance department of Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic, which he followed up at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he joined after graduation as an Assistant Auditor. In 2018, he then accepted a job offer from the public sector and worked as a senior organizational officer at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. He is a proud father of two sons with whom he enjoys spending all his free time.
Head of Sales v Corrency. In the past, as a project manager at Corrency, he has led a number of successful projects. For two years he was the manager of the Mastercard Bank of the Year award. He also worked at Giese & Partner, a law firm focused mainly on German clients, as a paralegal. He was also a research assistant at the Department of Financial Law at the Faculty of Law of Charles University for three years. He is currently a final year student at the law faculty of the same university.
Head of project implementation at Corrency. She studied economics and service management in the tourism industry at the University of Business in Prague. She worked for 6 years as an office manager at the Jan Stuchlik Dental Clinic. She likes sunsets, communicating with people, traveling, and riding motorcycles.
Head of Customer Care and Office Manager Corrency. The youngest member of the team and a student at University College Prague, she gained her first work experience in office management, mainly in the catering and hotel industry. In 2020, she started working as a management assistant in the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic and later in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic as an assistant to a deputy. She specializes in ensuring the smooth functioning of the office and the satisfaction of our clients. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family or playing sports, especially horseback riding.
Head of IT and Technical Development at Corrency. Project manager specialising in creating information systems and automation of business processes in cooperation with a wide range of suppliers. For a long time, it has been dealing with the creation of effective technological solutions tailored to clients and the subsequent provision and planning of the continuity of the organisation's processes. He studies information management and business at the University of Economics in Prague.
The Union of Towns and Municipalities has granted patronage to the Corrency project.
It is a great honor for us that the Corrency project is under the patronage of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, which sees great potential in it and believes that it can be an effective tool for stimulating local business. We very much appreciate the support of Mr. Michal Štefl, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic and Chairman of the Board of the Regional Chamber of Commerce of South Moravia.
The project has received the patronage of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Corrency has already received support from the Czech Rise Up - Smart Measures against COVID 19 programme.Corrency also participated in the Hack the Crises Czech Republic hackathon organised by CzechInvest, which provided invaluable assistance in developing the idea of a currency with adjustable corrent convertibility. After the successful development of the Corrency project, the MIT decided to grant it patronage.
